A story recently published in The Mercury featured two members of Healthcare Software management discussing the merits of a Tasmanian Government initiative which resulted in the successful acquisition of the company’s Marketing Manager, Will Oakley.
Phil Beck, of The Mercury, conducted an interview with Mr. Oakley and CEO, John Elkerton, which largely concerned the merits of the "Knowledge to Business" (K2B) program which injects marketing graduates into Tasmanian IT firms. The program has been in operation since 2004, with some 20 Tasmanian IT firms benefiting from the knowledge and enthusiasm of these graduates.
Mr. Elkerton, expressed that the program had benefited both parties significantly as Healthcare Software is really starting to gain momentum and entering a stage where marketing is increasingly important.
“The main objectives are to really increase the awareness of our offerings in the market and make sure that our potential customers are conscious of the comprehensive solutions we provide. Will has done a great job so far in achieving this.”
